our cars

​The premise of this work is an interest in focusing on the automobile as an inanimate object as well as an animate object. To examine the theory that the car, brought to life by us through starting the combustion engine, also has a life of its own.  The goal of this work is to show the vehicle as it's own entity, one who we share our lives with but never have complete control over.  We often decorate our vehicles to be an extension of ourselves, but eventually they take on their own personalities, and these are the portraits that I am interested in.
