Cohabitation

In these photographs, I have set out to document my relationship with Jacqui Peterson, by focusing on scenes inside of our shared apartment.

This project, entitled “Cohabitation”, will tell our story through portraits and still life photographs. These photographs, whether taken of a person or an object are made to represent the relationship between two people and the melding of our lives inside of a certain place.

Because the environment is continuously changing, the photographic vignettes and still lifes made over time will change to represent the mood of the residents in the home. This allows the body of work to grow even in a small enclosed environment.

My goal in creating this work is to show the intersection of two individuals existing in the same place and investigate how we relate to and care for each other.
